Every plan needs an account — you sign in once with an emailed code, and the app then works offline for days. Your org data is not part of that: it stays in IndexedDB and in .orgpack files you choose, and is never uploaded. Three things reach the network, always by your own action and never silently: signing in, running AI analysis with your own Anthropic API key, and the licence step that follows a purchase. Licence checks themselves are a signed key verified locally, with no network call.

Is the free plan really free?
Yes. One organisation of up to 25 people with the full org chart, table view, scenario editing, CSV import, and .orgpack save/open. Exports (PDF/PPTX/CSV) require a paid plan. If your org is already larger than 25 when you open it, it still opens and renders in full — the limit gates growth, not access.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Every plan needs an account — you sign in with an emailed code — but a Stripe customer is created at your first purchase, not at signup. The 14-day Pro trial starts in-app with no payment method.
How does buying actually work?
From inside the product. When you hit a gated feature, the app takes you straight to checkout for the cheapest tier that unlocks it, and Stripe shows the price before anything is charged. Change plan or cancel any time from the billing portal — the same one click, in the other direction.
Do licences work offline?
Yes. A licence is a signed key verified locally by the app's built-in cryptography — no network call, no phone-home. After sign-in, the app itself also works offline for days.
What data do you hold about me?
Account and lifecycle metadata only: email, display name, org name, plan tier, trial expiry, and product events such as sign-ins and limit hits. Never the org itself — that stays in your .orgpack files and your browser. Details on the security page.
What's the difference between Pro and Team?
Pro carries the working analyst's stack: exports, the AI dashboard, cost projections, spans & layers, ONA tie editing with the AI-risk layer, and compensation analytics. Team adds the governance layer: custom span/layer targets, diversity analytics, pay-equity analysis, all ONA relationship dimensions, and ONA PPTX export.
